My Story
Born a horse lover into a city atmosphere, Joanne’s dream finally came true at age 35. She got her first horse, Chelsea! Over the 20 plus years of living the horsey lifestyle, her love for leather, boots, silver and everything cowgirl combined with her love of shopping morphed into Tumbleweed Leatherworks.
The first product was a simple leather cell phone holder that snaps to your jean’s belt loops. There were just too many stories about horses running off with their riders cell phones attached to the saddle. That led to all kinds of special order leather bags and pouches, each one unique depending on what is on hand! Then, there was the problem of used up cowgirl boots, belts, tack and anything else that was too beloved to give to charity. It didn’t take long to learn that they could be combined to make cool purses. The boots may be dead, but the tops are still perfect and beautiful! So now a blissfully happy Joanne gets to shop for leather, boots, belts and make them into cool stuff for you to enjoy! Even better, she works in her front yard gazing up at the turn-out where her horses are (see the "Our Friendly Staff" page).
What a life!
