I make your leather waist bag by cutting out a pattern from genuine leather. Sometimes I mix patterns and colors, depending on my mood that day.
The first thing I do is sew the pocket inside or on the back with my Mother's 1950 Singer Sewing Machine, that's right folks.... OLD BESSIE!
Next I start punching holes, by hand, one by one, and I either rivet the pieces together, or lace them together with genuine deerskin leather lacing. This is a very long, arduous process.
The magnetic snap and snap clips are added and then comes the most fun part, choosing the finishing touch!! Usually a beautiful concho, sometimes I embellish them with Swarovski crystals, or I add an antique pendant, or some other treasure that has caught my eye.
The pouches attach to your belt loops for hands free shopping, or carefree riding (horse or motorcycle), or can be attached to a strap of your choice. I do offer a simple cross body chain strap, but most people prefer to go strapless!!!!
The bags then go to Joe so he can inspect them. We try to use good quality supplies, but occasionally something goes wrong. Please remember that if anything DOES go wrong, I stand behind my bags and will fix it for you at no cost.
Happy Trails, Joanne Pritts
